Sunday, September 8, 12 – 4 pm. Bruce ConsTRUCKS Join us to Celebrate! This free, public celebration will also give the community the opportunity to learn more about the Bruce Museum’s renovation and expansion plans – and to join the community-wide support of the Campaign for the New Bruce. Visitors will be able to view informational displays about the renovation and expansion project, and Museum leaders and volunteers from across the community will be on hand to describe the transformative impact that the New Bruce will have.
Sundays, September 1 & 8, 11:30 am – 12:15 pm. Family Gallery Tour. Designed for children aged 6-10 and their families, this program will provide an interactive, discussion-based tour of the Museum's current exhibitions.
Tuesdays, September 3, 10, 11:00 – 11:45 am and 1:00 – 1:45 pm Bruce Beginnings. Topics: Rock Out, and Fish Friends. For children ages 2 ½ -5 and their caregivers.
Thursday, September 5, 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Design Time. Ever wanted to build and design like the best artists and engineers? Children ages 2 and up, along with their caregivers, are welcome to drop in to play with Imagination Playground blocks.
Thursday, September 12, 9:45 - 10:45 am, Bruce Beginnings Jr. This program provides a welcoming and engaging museum experience for toddlers, ages 10-24 months, and their caregivers through hands-on play and exploration. Sessions are inspired by the museum’s collections and exhibits.
Thursday, September 12, 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Bruce Experiences: Members-Only - Dr. Daniel Ksepka, Bruce Museum's Curator of Science, will present on the Science galleries renovation. Designed by Bruce staff and Metcalfe architectural firm, “Natural Cycles Shape Our World” will be the theme of the permanent Science gallery. Join us for an insider look at the future of the Bruce Science Galleries!
Saturday, September 15, 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Science Sunday, Bird it the Word. Stop by the Bruce to learn about our science exhibitions and to get interactive with hands-on activities on a variety of science topics. This drop-in program is for children ages four and up and their families.
